Cesar is one of our chia seed partners based in Paraguay, where organic chia grows best and in a way that works in harmony with the local environment and not against it.

A major part of Ceres Organics relationships with growers is to find growers who are forging a path in the organic world through carrying a similar purpose to ourselves, that is to bring healing to the earth and humankind. Cesar Zorilla is a person strongly aligned to the purpose of Ceres Organics, a person who wants to improve the wellbeing of small farmers through lifting the quality of the product they bring to the market. 

We first worked with Cesar with quinoa from Peru, bringing the first organic quinoa into the New Zealand market some 20 years ago.  Cesar began working with chia farmers in Paraguay some years later while in the last few years intensifying this to lift the quality of the agricultural methods and to provide the appropriate processing facilities giving the basis to improve the farmers social and physical wellbeing. Through a long standing relationship with local farmers and a deep commitment to betterment of people, land and planet Cesar with others formed a group called TCL which links small farmers to consumers all over the world.

Ceres Organics stands with Cesar and TCL Organic linking small farmers through to consumers on this earth we all share by recognising the importance of common social and environmental outcomes through organics.
