what is B Corp?
Certified B Corp’s are businesses that meet the high standards of verified social and
environmental performance, public transparency and legal accountability to
balance ‘profit and purpose’.
Ceres Organics was founded in 1982 as a social enterprise with a mission to address
environmental, social, and economic challenges. Achieving B Corp certification
in 2021 was a natural progression, strengthening our commitment to demonstrating the real benefits of organics.
102 countries. 160 industries. 9,502 companies. 937,435 workers.
Being a certified B Corp business means we’re committed to transparency, continuously improving our sustainability efforts, and proudly joining a global community that prioritises people and the planet over profit.
Becoming a B Corp
To become a B Corp, businesses must score at least 80 out of 200 on the B Impact Assessment. It’s a rigorous evaluation that measures five areas of impact: Governance, Workers, Customers, Community and Environment.
At Ceres Organics, we're proud to officially join the B Corp family, achieving an impressive 95.7 points in our first assessment. This certification reflects our commitment to using business as a force for good, alongside a global movement dedicated to positive impact. But we know our journey doesn’t stop here. We’re actively working on a series of projects to further improve our impact — and our score.

Environment evaluates a company’s overall environmental management practices as well as its impact on the air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity.
We believe the impact of industrial agriculture can’t be ignored – it’s one of the biggest contributors of global greenhouse emissions, has resulted in the deterioration of our soils, and has impacted our overall health through the addition of synthetic chemicals. Our goal is to continue to drive change in our food system to one that helps restore Earth’s natural rhythms via organic agriculture.
