Our 3-ingredient chia seed jam takes all of 10 minutes to make, has no added sugar and will keep in the fridge for 4-5 days. Loaded with functional benefits, just 2 tablespoons of chia seeds have a massive 11 grams of fibre, 4 grams of plant protein and 5 grams of omega fatty acids!

This jam makes a great toast topping and pairs well with any of our nut and seed butters. Use it to add extra nutrients to your breakfast bowls or enjoy as a snack with yogurt.

ingredients

  • 6 cups or organic berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 Tbsp Ceres Organics Maple Syrup (to taste)
  • 4 Tbsp Ceres Organics Chia Seeds

method

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine berries and maple syrup, stirring frequently until a smooth consistency begins to form. Once the berries begin breaking down, reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes. Option to use a potato masher to create a smoother consistency.
  2. Add in the chia seeds, stirring frequently for about 15 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  3. Once thick, remove the pot from the heat. Allow jam to cool completely before pouring into a glass jar for storage.
