Bright, zesty and naturally energising, this Citrus Matcha Fizz iced tea is a refreshing way to enjoy matcha beyond the cup. Smooth green tea notes meet fresh citrus and gentle sweetness, finished with sparkling water for a light, uplifting fizz.

ingredients

  • 1 Ceres Organics Matcha Green Tea bag
  • ½ cup (100ml) hot water (not boiling, about 75°C)
  • Juice of ½ a lime or lemon (about 1-1 ½ tablespoons)
  • 1–2 tsp Ceres Organics Agave Syrup (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup sparkling water
  • Optional for garnish: lemon balm leaves, mint and lime / lemon slice

method

  1. Steep the matcha tea bag in hot (but not boiling) water for 3 minutes. Remove the bag and let the tea cool
  2. Fill a tall glass with ice and pour over the brewed matcha.
  3. Add the fresh citrus juice and stir in the agave syrup to taste.
  4. Top with sparkling water and gently stir to combine.
  5. Garnish with fresh herbs and citrus, then serve immediately.
  6. Tip: For a stronger matcha flavour, steep the tea a little longer or reduce the sparkling water slightly.
