Creamy, nutty and packed with plant-based goodness this Hemp Hummus is a wholesome twist on a classic dip. Made with organic chickpeas, tahini and nutrient-rich hemp seeds, it’s smooth, satisfying and full of flavour. Perfect served with our Ceres Organics rice crackers and cakes!

ingredients

  • 1 can Ceres Organics Chickpeas (400g), drained and rinsed
  • 2 Tbsp Ceres Organics Hulled Tahini
  • 2 Tbsp Ceres Organics Hemp Seeds
  • 2 Tbsp Ceres Organics Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 small garlic clove, crushed
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2–3 tbsp cold water (as needed for texture)
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Optional: ½ tsp Ceres Organics Smoked Paprika or Cumin Powder for a flavour twist

method

  1. Add chickpeas, tahini, hemp seeds, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice to a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, slowly adding water a tablespoon at a time until creamy.
  3. Taste and season with sea salt and optional spices.
  4. Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and finish with a sprinkle of hemp seeds.
  5. Topping ideas: sprinkle of Hemp Seeds for crunch, pinch of paprika or dukkah, drizzle of Olive Oil, fresh herbs like parsley or coriander
