Made with simple pantry staples from our Refillable Range this slice is naturally sweet, packed with oats and seeds, and seriously easy to make – it’s the kind of slice you’ll want on repeat as a lunchbox treat!

ingredients

chocolate flour

  • 1 cup Ceres Organics Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Ceres Organics Sunflower Seeds
  • 3 Tbsp Ceres Organics Cacao Powder

chocolate crumble

  • 1/3 cup Ceres Organics Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Ceres Organics Coconut Chips
  • 1/3 cup Ceres Organics Maple Syrup
  • 1/3 cup Ceres Organic Coconut Oil, Melted
  • 1 tsp Ceres Organics Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract
  • 1/2 tsp Ceres Organics Sea Salt
  • 1 cup raspberries, frozen
  • 1 cup blueberries, frozen
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Add the chocolate flour ingredients to a blender and blend until you reach a flour-like consistency. Transfer to a bowl and add the chocolate crumble ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour ¾ of the mixture into a lined loaf tin and press it down evenly using the back of a spoon. Bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, place the frozen raspberries and blueberries in a bowl. Add the cornstarch and toss until the berries are evenly coated.
  5. Remove the base from the oven, top with the berries, then crumble the remaining chocolate mixture over the top.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Once baked, place in the fridge to cool for at least 5 hours, or ideally overnight, before slicing.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  9. Simple Swaps / Additions: Sunflower seeds for any nut or seed you have at home such as pumpkin seeds, almonds or walnuts. Cacao powder for cocoa powder. Coconut flakes for desiccated or shredded coconut. Maple syrup for honey. Coconut oil for melted butter. Frozen raspberries and blueberries for any other berry or stonefruit you love, fresh or frozen.
